MISSING THE MOUNTAINS!

A Big Hi to all of our previous and future guests! It’s been a long time since we’ve posted anything and the reasons (excuses)) would be a long list….however mainly a long and busy season last year, relaxing and recovering after season ), holidays, kids, obligations, renovations, etc and then Covid 19! Like what the hell has been going on over the past few months? it seems like a dream, a bad dream, and it just keeps going…like just totally crazy! We hope that everyone is keeping well, healthy and sane! We have been here in Monte, along with the rest of the world, in lock-down over the last 6 weeks, although things do seem to be improving here restrictions wise; however we think we’re all still a few weeks away from getting back to any type of semblance of normality. Regardless of this, we are all positive that a season will happen from July 2020 onward, when most of our guests have already booked. To date Montenegro has been only marginally affected by the pandemic, and Durmitor has had zero 0 cases, so we do believe it’s a great destination for all guests looking to avoid the pandemic and the crowds this summer. We miss the Mountains and the Mountains are missing Us and hopefully we’ll all be reunited soon! ) Take Care, Stay Healthy, Stay Sane! 🙂

NICE DURMITOR WRITE UP!

The UK’s daily Telegraph newspaper recently did another great write up on Montenegro and in it highlighted both the National Durmitor park and Tara Canyon. They wrote > “The UK’s Lake District National Park receives 15.8m annual visitors and can get horrendously busy. So head to Montenegro. A glorious kingdom of sky-scraping peaks, jade-green glacial lakes, ancient black pines, mossy forests and plunging river gorges (including the aforementioned Tara River Canyon), the country’s national park is pure perfection. But it welcomes just 130,000 people each year. Minty Clinch, following a horse riding holiday in 2016 for the telegraph recalled a “profusion of wildflowers in natural grassland… gentians, wild hellebore, rock roses, bellflowers, multiple violets: such rich variety has long disappeared from rural England.”

PEAK PERFORMANCE!

We do like to mix up our tours each year, and so for the coming 2019 season we have decided to slightly change our Adrenaline Tour! We do have guests that are up for a bigger challenge and really enjoy the physical aspects of ours tours; with previous guests having always asked about camping in the mountains! So for this season we have included our ‘two peak trekking tour’ which includes the two peaks of Bobatov Kuk and Prutas mountains; with camping in between at Skrcka Lake! The lake is a perfect setting, with beautiful water for wild swimming! The lake has a camping hut there, and so we plan a night at this beautiful setting with our guides and fellow guests. The camping equipment is all provided, along with all camping food for the lunch, evening and breakfast! So with everything ready for you, it’s definitely time to get into Peak Performance and enjoy the stunning nature and views when we reach those Summits!
