Camp Accommodation
Our camp Montenegro-Mountain is located at a height of 1521 m above sea level (high altitude), in the Durmitor National Park, near to the base of the Savin Kuk mountain 2315 m. We offer a tranquil village setting only 3 km from the town center, with beautiful mountain views. Durmitor is surrounded by many mountain peaks and the highest is Bobatov Kuk at 2526 m; so it is a great place for climbers and mountaineers to prepare themselves for bigger challenges. We are also only a short 50 m distance from the forest which has stone trails leading our guests through the lush green forest to the amazing Black Lakes!
Montenegro-Mountain offers a multi-active holiday stay at our camp. We have 4 lovely self catering apartments. The camp is spread over a large garden space with two separate houses and two outbuildings. We offer 2 X 1 bedroom apartments: RIVER & LAKE; and 2 X 2 bedroom apartments MOUNTAIN & CANYON; with a total of 6 double bedrooms which can comfortably sleep groups from 2-12 persons. Our 4 apartments are divided between two separate houses and each apartment has the facilities of bedroom(s), kitchen, bathroom(s), living area and hallway.
The exterior of the camp offers a large green garden space which looks onto the mountain of Savin Kuk and has a forest only a few meters away. The garden includes a stone BBQ, a shared communal area ‘The Barn’ where all our guests can enjoy socializing and their meal-times together. We also have a separate shared games room ‘The Den’ which includes a table tennis table. We additionally provide a mountain bike and safety helmet for our guests to use for free at their own leisure!
Montenegro is rich in nature and also has a fantastic coastline, making it perfect and easy for our guests to combine a stay with us along with a beach holiday by the coast! Our camp is perfect for groups of guests that wish to take part and experience many different activities. We can also make ‘Tailor made’ itineraries for guests, who wish to centre a stay on one particular activity. Montenegro-Mountain is perfect for Eco tourism, Nature Tourism, Hosting Events, Company Team Building, Yoga Breaks and much more! The camp has WiFi Internet connectivity and Satellite TV in each apartment (Children’s channels, Movies and Premier League Football). Our emphasis is for all of our guests to have all the creature comforts of home for a comfortable, action packed and relaxing stay!
Adventure Package Stays
We aim to provide an unforgettable stay for all our staying guests. We currently have 4 tours to choose from, which show the best of Montenegro! With our standard 5 night package, guests will experience (at least) 5 great adventure activities, which have been carefully chosen for a fantastic mountain experience! Whilst other tours include more *Premium activities. Along with our tours, guests will enjoy, relaxing and comfortable accommodation, with beautiful scenery and unforgettable adventures. On stays with us, our guests can choose one of 4 tours, of which all have active adventure days. Guests have a great choice of tours, and can experience our STANDARD ADVENTURE tour, ADRENALINE ADVENTURE tour, PREMIUM ADVENTURE tour or our perfect coast and mountain tour SURF & TURF ADVENTURE tour!
We provide all airport transfers for both arrival and departure dates which is included in the price, along with at least 5 fantastic activities that we have carefully chosen for a great mountain experience. Our guests do not need to worry or stress over anything, as airport transfers, lunch meals and activity days are all included in the price of stay. We also welcome all our guests with a welcome BBQ meal and drink and we host some activities with our guests ourselves!
Included Activities on our Standard Adventure Package at Montenegro-Mountain
- Our 1st activity is a wonderful easy 2 Lake Trekking activity, departing from our complex on foot, through the Durmitor National Park forest, seeing 2 stunning lakes which includes the famous ‘Black Lake’ in Zabljak. It is a moderate physical activity (approx 16 km) and includes a packed lunch!
- Our 2nd activity is a premium Rafting activity on the Tara River. This activity is aimed for all ages and would be an unforgettable day out. Guests also Zip Line on this activity day across the Tara Canyon. This is an easy physical activity and includes a Traditional Montenegrin lunch!
- Our 3rd activity is a beautiful Safari Jeep Ride around ‘Ring of Durmitor’, which is a circular road around the Durmitor mountain range. It lasts for 85 km and goes along peaks and Canyons, with fantastic scenery along the way! Traditional Lunch provided!
- Our 4th activity is a great Mountain Biking activity. This activity is a moderate to hard physical activity. The day starts from our camp and heads to lower level valleys and farming areas. Along the way we visit 3 different lakes. This activity also includes a packed lunch!
Optional Premium activities available
In between the included activities our guests could also choose to take up more options, for doing more *Premium activities which are available. The *Premium activities do cater for most guests of all ages and levels of experience and we recommend them for more adventures! The *Premium activities include: Canyoning, Mountaineering Tours, Trekking Tours, Horse-Riding Tours, Horse Riding School (for younger adventurers), Jeep Safari Tour, Adrenaline Zip Line across the Tara River or our fantastic Coastal cultural Tour, which takes our guests down to the coast for a day of swimming, sight-seeing and enjoyment!
The *Premium activities can be booked separately to our tour package stays and each activity is priced either on a per person or group price basis; with all relevant info-prices for each activity to be found in our activity section. If guests prefer? we can also arrange tailor made trips, for specialized stays centered around one type of activity; which can be one activity over a number of days!
Guests staying at Montenegro Mountain will love venturing out into the untamed areas of stunning Montenegro with many adventures to be found! The nearby town of Zabljak has many great restaurants, cafes and bars; however the real beauty of Durmitor is reflected in its diverse beautiful nature. Within a radius of just 20 km there are 18 glacial Lakes, 4 Canyons, a large number of Caves and Mountain peaks which are over 2500 meters high! The Durmitor Tara river where our guests take part in Rafting activities is the second deepest canyon in the whole world, only beaten by the Grand Canyon in the USA!
Montenegro-Mountain goal is to offer great Multi Active holiday for guests of all ages and levels of fitness, enabling them to experience beautiful nature, including lakes, rivers, forests and mountains. As a responsible travel brand we aim to create jobs and employ and empower local people in the Durmitor region who are heavily dependent on incomes from tourism. We employ 6 local people from Zabljak as our team leaders for Montenegro-Mountain and hope to create other employment for the running of the day to day requirements at our camp. As the business grows we hope to make donations towards the town. We also hope through ourselves and our team to educate all of our guests to the benefits of Eco tourism and how to be responsible and appreciate untouched nature. We aim to promote all cultural accepts in the area and for our staying guests to try all locally produced Montenegrin food and drink, such as cheese, bread, meats and wines!
We aim to offer a great range of excellent activities for our guests to both, enjoy their holiday stay and also keep them active! Our idea is for our guests to have an multi-activity holiday and for them to choose any optional activities which suits them. We know that all our guests are all individuals and it’s our goal that all guests experience great activities and enjoy a great stay and a fun filled holiday!
